Dr. Thomas Agyarko – Poku (Executive Director)
Dr. Thomas Agyarko-Poku is a medical practioner specializing in Reproductive health, Sexually Transmitted Infections and HIV. He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine and Masters of Philosophy in Clinical Microbiology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
In addition, Dr. Agyarko-Poku obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Genito Urinary medicine and venereology from University of Liverpool, UK, as well as a Masters of Public Health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine UK.
Dr. Agyarko-Poku has extensive experience in community health development. For 6 years, he was the Project Manager for the West African HIV/STI Project-Canadian AIDS Program.
Dr. Thomas Agyarko-Poku has also been a consultant for a number of national and international organizations as well as playing key role in several charitable organizations, including Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (Ghana) and Serwaa Ampem AIDS Foundation for Children.
Currently, Dr. Agyarko-Poku is the Regional Coordinator of HIV/AIDS/STI clinic at Suntreso Government Hospital in Kumasi and a lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
Emmanuel Danso (Trustee)
Emmanuel Danso is a communication expert and CEO of EKD Communication Consult. He holds certificate in health and safety at work place as well as customer relation management from Ghana Baptist University College, Kumasi.
His areas of expertise include; Real estate management, Business communication and operations, Civil Engineering (road and building), project management and consultant.
Danso has contributed a lot in organizations of charitable institutions including KATH PICU, Kumasi Children’s Home and others.
He is currently the Liaison officer for Contracta (Brazilian Company for the construction of Kejetia-Central market re-development project) and consultant and communication Director for Contracta (Kumasi Airport extension project).
Emmanuel Danso also worked as operation officer for EH Group and Associates, Labone-Accra and Managing Director for Emjoy Limited (Nestle Ghana Ltd, in charge of Nkawkaw).
A versatile, creative and enthusiastic individual, highly motivated, persuasive, strictly time conscious, delight to assigned duties, high in people-people skills, willing to share my knowledge and a relentless young man. I am used to working to targets and deadline and I feel I can perform extremely well under pressure, having the ability to remain calm and motivate others. My determination prepares me for challenges and empowers a continuous drive in my quest for knowledge and efforts to contribute to others development.

Mrs. Sophia Gifty Awortwi (Trustee)
Mrs. Sophia Gifty Awortwi attended Wesley Girls High Senior High School, Cape Coast and has a Biological Science (Education) degree from the University of Cape Coast. She joined the Ghana Education Service and by dint of hard work received regular promotions through the ranks to the grade of District of Director of Education.
Her keen interest in the promotion Science Education for girls led to her appointment as the National Coordinator for Science, Technology and Mathematics Education (STME) Clinics for Girls Programme. She was appointed the first Director of the Science Education Unit of the Ghana Education Service in 2001 to promote and coordinate the Science, Technology, Mathematics and Information Technology education at the Pre-tertiary level off Ghana’s education system. She holds a certificate in Women in Management Course Senior level from GIMPA.
Mrs. Awortwi was a member of the National I.C.T for Accelerated Development (ICT4D) Implementation Committee and the NEPAD Secretariat of South Africa. She is a member of the National Forum for Harnessing Research, Science and Technology. Her dedication to duty earned her the post of the Conference of Directors of Education (CODE).
Mrs. Awortwi has travelled widely to attend many Local and International Conferences and seminars. She was appointed the Secretary-General of the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO). She has many publications to her credit and has authored five books.
Currently, Mrs. Awortwi is a member of the Board of Morning Star School, Accra, the Methodist Women Training Centre, Kumasi, a counsellor at the Christian Service University College, Kumasi and a Director, New Image Foundation which offers free Youth and Marriage Counselling services among others. Mrs. Awortwi serves as the Director of Programs and Administration, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Charity Foundation.
In recognition of Mrs. Awortwi’s avid interest in the promotion of Science Education and Environmental Science, Mrs. Awortwi was honoured in 2015 for dedicated service over the years with the STATE HONOUR OF THE MEMBER OF THE ORDER OF THE VOLTA (MV).
