The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Charity Foundation’s programs in education have over the years supported different initiatives which cater for school children in deprived areas.
As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the foundation in partnership with ECOM Ghana rolled-out “a one story book, one dictionary project” that targets basic school pupils who are currently home especially those in deprived communities to distribute supplementary readers, literature books and dictionaries to promote reading and learning whilst at home as schools remain closed. The foundation has so far distributed over 47, 000 literature books supplementary reading books and dictionaries to JHS students.
COVID-19 safety protocols were duly observed. Some communities visited so far include; Apatrapa, SouthSuntreso, Nkwantakese, Ohwimx Bohyen, Trede SabinAkrofrom, KyekyewereNo.1, Kobeng, Essuowin, Foase, Jachie, Atimatim, Maase, Adwumakase, Baworo Kwanwoma, Amakyebare, Okyerekrom, Hemang, Nyinasenase, Nwamase, Safo, Kasem, Kwaamo, Esaase, KenyasiNo.1, Tikrom, Asamang, Toase, NwenesoNo.2, NwenesoNo.3, Apitikooko, Sanso, Dokyiwaa, Binsere, Ntonsuo, Mmamiriwa, Adaase, Bogobiri, Bidieso, Nana Ponko, Bidiem, Anyinam, Boete, Kwabrafoso, Jamison, Diawuoso, Ayaase, Pomposo, Asonkore, Kwabenakwa, Mampamhwe etc.
